Metrology Supervision Division
The basic task of the Metrology Supervision Division is the supervision of the measuring instruments in service and surveillance on the market, measuring units and pre-packaged products in accordance with the Metrology Act and the supervision of precious metal articles in accordance with the Precious Metal Products Act.
The Division’s inspectors carry out administrative, inspection and minor-offence procedures, cooperate with other departments of the Metrology Institute, other inspectorates and consumer organisations, are active within international organisations in the field of metrology, participate in joint European metrology surveillance projects and ensure the transfer of knowledge.
