Slovenia Weekly: Development asset and a reliable partner

"We – the people – are the greatest asset for development," Prime Minister Janez Janša emphasised at the opening of the International Trade Fair of Opportunities and Cooperation on Wednesday. According to him, to accelerate its development, Slovenia needs a more competitive and predictable business environment, a more efficient public sector and an education system that responds better to the needs of modern society and the economy to accelerate development. He highlighted the need to more effectively harness human potential as one of the key challenges.

After his meeting with Prime Minister Janša in Brussels on Monday, Secretary-General of NATO Mark Rutte stated that Slovenia is a reliable member of the Alliance and has a credible plan to increase defence spending. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Janša reaffirmed Slovenia's commitment to a strong and credible NATO, as well as its continued support for Ukraine.
