Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

Slovenia and Romania have good bilateral relations at all levels. Slovenia is striving to deepen relations in the political, cultural and economic fields. Romania is a milestone between EU countries and countries aspiring to NATO membership. The Republic of Slovenia opened its Embassy in Bucharest in 2007.

The two countries successfully cooperate both in international organizations and in the regional framework. They are continuously strengthening their cooperation within the EU and NATO. Both countries are also members of the Three Seas Initiative.

Slovenia sees many potentials in the development of regional cooperation with Romania, especially cooperation within the Danube region.
