Bilateral relations with Slovakia
Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19
As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
Bilateral political relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic have traditionally been very good, friendly and without open issues. The political dialogue between the two countries is intensive and regular on all levels which presents a good base for further strengthening of cooperation, especially when it comes to the economy, tourism, education and culture.
Both countries have similar foreign policy priorities and goals. They successfully work together on a multilateral level within the EU and NATO where they often share similar views and positions. Furthermore, the countries effectively collaborate on a regional level.
