This evening's ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Planica Nordic Centre, entitled Ten years of pride. Pride for the future, celebrated the achievements of the first decade of this unique sports centre and highlighted its great importance for Slovenian sport, tourism and the country's international visibility.

Slovenia has officially been awarded the hosting rights for the 2026 European Road Cycling Championships. The contract was formally signed by the Minister of Economy, Tourism and Sport, Matjaž Han; the President of the Slovenian Cycling Federation, Pavel Marđonović; and the President of the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC), Enrico Della Casa.

Following last Thursday’s world premiere of the new Twingo E-Tech Electric in Paris, the model was presented to the Slovenian public. The event was attended by Matjaž Han, Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, Gregor Macedoni, Mayor of Novo mesto, Jože Bele, President of the Management Board of Revoz, and Petar Nevistič, Managing Director of GA Adriatic.

Slovenian Day in Vienna – the power of culture, diplomacy and the economy for a shared future

Agreement on fisheries subsidies in force
The Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, adopted at the 12th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in June 2022, entered into force. The Agreement entered into force after it was ratified by a two-thirds majority of WTO members and the instrument of acceptance was deposited. This milestone was reached at the ceremony on 15 September 2025 at the special meeting of the WTO General Council.
