The Internal Audit Service conducts independent regular and extraordinary audits to ensure compliance with the principles of legality, transparency, efficiency, effectiveness and economy by the organisational units of the Ministry, including two bodies within the Ministry.

In this process, the Internal Audit Service assesses whether the Ministry’s objectives will be achieved and risks appropriately managed. It advises the Ministry’s employees on how to continuously improve operations in terms of preventing or minimising irregularities in the achievement of their objectives.
