The rule of law and the judiciary

Please note that this website is still under construction and that some of its contents may be incomplete. Thank you for your understanding.

Slovenia is a state governed by the rule of law and a social state. The rule of law is based on the rules laid down by the Constitution and Acts and provides for the assessment of concrete cases by independent courts. Legal rules constitute a limitation on and control of authority, guarantee respect for human rights and freedoms, and regulate the positions and relations of legal entities.
