Slovenian Minister of Public Administration Rudi Medved received H.E. Prof. Dr. Vujica Lazović, the Ambassador of Montenegro to Slovenia. The cooperation between Slovenia and Montenegro has always been close and it will become even closer in the area of public administration with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in Ljubljana next week, Minister Rudi Medved and Ambassador Lazović stressed at the meeting.

On 16 July, the President of the Republic of Slovenia signed a decree on the appointment of Gregor Presker as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro.

Foreign Minister Dr Miro Cerar today met Ivan Brajović, President of the Parliament of Montenegro, who is paying an official visit to Slovenia. The constructive talks focused on bilateral relations, enhanced cooperation within NATO, EU enlargement, and Montenegro's progress on its path towards the EU, as well as regional cooperation and the situation in the region.
