Slovenia’s contribution to official development assistance nearly 152 million euros in 2025
In 2025, Slovenia allocated 0.22% of its gross national income (GNI) to official development assistance (ODA). Together with EU funds earmarked for this purpose, it allocated just under 152 million euros for humanitarian aid and development cooperation projects and programmes. This is 0.7% lower than in 2024, reflecting a 0.01 percentage point decrease as a share of GNI.

Slovenia announces humanitarian and development projects in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda

12th Slovenian Development Days conclude with international conference on food security
The 12th Slovenian Development Days, held from 15 to 22 October 2024 under the theme "For a World Without Hunger", concluded with an international conference on food security and the 2nd Slovenian Humanitarian Forum. Slovenia provides additional humanitarian aid to Bosnia and Herzegovina
More than 5,000 people in the worst-affected municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina are still in need of humanitarian aid following the catastrophic floods and mudslides that hit the country in October. The Ministry and its strategic partner for emergency humanitarian aid, Caritas Slovenia, will provide EUR 100,000 in humanitarian aid over the next month.

Slovenia to provide emergency humanitarian aid to Lebanon
Slovenia will provide half a million euros for emergency humanitarian aid to Lebanon. Gabrič signs agreement with WHO for humanitarian contribution to Ukraine
State Secretary Melita Gabrič has signed an agreement with the WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Kluge, to provide 500,000 euros in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, consisting of medicines and medical equipment.
