EU funding to enhance public access to information on judicial proceedings

The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for a project aimed at enhancing public access to information about judicial proceedings. The project will receive over €120,000 from the European Regional Development Fund.

As part of the project, a needs assessment and a user satisfaction survey will be carried out, alongside the development of tools and resources to upgrade the judiciary's dedicated websites. The redesigned websites will feature new content, enabling citizens to access court decisions and general information about the work of the judiciary more easily and in a user-friendly and accessible manner.

The project aims to digitalise and upgrade the judiciary's dedicated websites in order to improve digital public services and enhance user experience. It seeks to foster a better understanding of the work of the judiciary among the general public, while increasing transparency and strengthening public trust in the justice system. The project will focus on modernising digital services and enriching website content to provide citizens with a more user-friendly and efficient interaction with the courts.

The €210,000 project will be implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027. It will receive €121,336.95 from the European Regional Development Fund. The beneficiary of the funding will be the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia.
