EU funding for the construction of 19.6 km of sewerage system in Kranj
The Ministry of Local Self-Government, Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the project Equipping the 2019 Kranj agglomeration. The project will receive almost €8 million from the Cohesion Fund.
As part of the project, the public wastewater collection system in the 2019 Kranj agglomeration will be extended. The project will construct 19,668 metres of wastewater sewerage and connect an additional 2,880 person equivalents to the sewerage system. The investment will help reduce environmental pollution and improve quality of life.
The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027and is co-financed by the Cohesion Fund.
The project, worth €27,076,582.18, will receive €7,925,159.27 in EU funding. The Urban Municipality of Kranj is the beneficiary of the funding.
