An important part of the visit was the inauguration of a robotic arm – a significant technological upgrade at the Centre for Prosthetics and Orthotics of URI - Soča – which will enable patients to receive the most advanced medical devices. The Prime Minister also learned about the renovation of the pharmacy and observed physiotherapy sessions at the Department for Rehabilitation after Amputations.

Following the visit, the Prime Minister once again emphasized that strengthening public healthcare will remain the coalition’s top priority in the next term as well. "Strengthening public healthcare means more doctors and more medical staff. It means more investment in new capacities and patient beds, as well as additional, better, and more advanced equipment. We are witnessing all of this today at URI - Soča," said the Prime Minister.

He also highlighted the importance of high-quality, faster, and safer care. He added that he was pleased to hear from the management, who presented both achievements from recent years and future plans.

The Director of URI - Soča, Roman Jakič, emphasized that they are proud of the good working conditions at the institute and added that 43 new employees have been hired over the past two years. He thanked the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for its support in the investment into the pharmacy, which is nearing completion.
