Ambassador at the World Premiere of the Film Melania at the Trump Kennedy Center

On 21 January 2026, the Ambassador attended the ceremonial world premiere of the documentary film Melania as the only invited ambassador. On the sidelines of the event, he met with numerous representatives of the U.S. administration.

At the premiere, held in a sold-out auditorium, Ambassador Mirošič was seated with members of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet and spoke with them about Slovenia, Slovenian-American and Euro-Atlantic relations, as well as the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. He also held discussions with other senior representatives of the U.S. administration and distinguished figures from the business, cultural, and scientific communities in Washington, D.C.

He also greeted the President of the United States and the First Lady of the United States.

He held conversations with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson, Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr., U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Chief of Staff and Cabinet member to the President Susie Wiles, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Cabinet member and Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Lee Zeldin, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, FBI Director Kash Patel, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.
