Government takes note of the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan
Slovenia has so far received EUR 1.54 billion for the RPP implementation under the Recovery and Resilience Facility – the largest financial component of the EU's NextGenerationEU recovery package. Since the start of the RPP in 2021, the State has disbursed more than EUR 1,23 billion to final beneficiaries. In this year alone, EUR 490 million was paid out.
With the approval of the proposal for the fourth amendment to the RRP by the Council of the European Union, the RRP will cover an estimated 181 milestones and targets (previously 200). Upon reviewing the first four payment requests submitted to date—which covered the initial six grant tranches and the first three loan tranches—the European Commission (EC) concluded that Slovenia had officially met all 91 associated milestones and targets. The ministries responsible for implementing investments and reforms estimate that an additional 18 milestones and targets have been achieved, which will be included in future payment requests.
The Government instructed the Recovery and Resilience Office to submit the fifth payment request to the EC by the end of this year. This includes the seventh grant tranche in a total value of EUR 266,84 million gross or EUR 230,69 million net, taking into account prepayments. According to the assessment of the ministries responsible for implementing investments and reforms, all 16 milestones and targets of this tranche have been met.
