Prime Minister Golob at the continuation of the consultation on long-term care
At the first two consultations, participants opened a discussion on the challenges brought by the implementation of the new long-term care system. Today’s meeting was intended to review progress, discuss areas where new questions are emerging, and explore ways in which continued cooperation can ensure that long-term care operates effectively and in the best interest of users.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Golob emphasized that caring for the elderly is our shared civilizational duty, which is why establishing a reliable long-term care system is crucial for the country’s future. He highlighted that the purpose of the meeting was a comprehensive review of the situation, identification of potential risks, and their timely mitigation.
“We will look at how the implementation of long-term care is progressing. I look forward to hearing feedback from you, who are in direct contact with older citizens. I hope for an open discussion with the aim of resolving the final shortcomings wherever they still appear,” the Prime Minister said.
