Austrian Ambassador Bühler pays courtesy visit to Minister Props

The Minister of Public Administration, Franc Props, held an introductory meeting with H.E. Dr Konrad G. Bühler, the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Slovenia. Dr Bühler, who has been in post since November 2024, was accompanied by his deputy, Kristof Grabmayer-Keri.

The two officials agreed that the two countries enjoy excellent relations at various levels and that these should continue to be nurtured and strengthened. They highlighted the successful cooperation between cross-border municipalities, particularly in response to the floods that hit Slovenia's Koroška region in August 2023.

Minister Props presented the work of the Ministry of Public Administration to the Ambassador, outlining the latest updates and projects within the Ministry's remit. The pair also discussed matters relating to access to public information and data protection, as well as the necessity for deregulation, reducing administrative red tape and improving the efficiency of public procurement procedures, all of which are key to bolstering economic cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador reaffirmed their commitment to constructive dialogue and to finding joint solutions to outstanding issues, with the aim of maintaining and further enhancing the good neighbourly relations between the two countries.
