Government takes note of the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan

Today, the Government took note of the Information on the Implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), which will be submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. The Government also discussed the Report on the Implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan before submitting the fourth payment request.

Slovenia has so far received EUR 1.1 billion for the RPP implementation under the Recovery and Resilience Facility – the largest financial component of the EU's NextGenerationEU recovery package. Since the start of the RPP in 2021, the State has disbursed more than EUR 900 million to final beneficiaries. In the first five months of this year alone, EUR 133 million was paid out.

With the approval of the proposal for the third amendment to the RRP by the Council of the European Union, the RRP will cover an estimated 200 milestones and targets (currently 203). Upon reviewing the first three payment requests to date, which covered the first four grant tranches and the first two loan tranches, the European Commission (EC) assessed that Slovenia had officially fulfilled all 64 associated milestones and targets. The ministries responsible for implementing investments and reforms estimate that 39 additional milestones and targets have been fulfilled to date, which will be included in future payment requests.

The Government instructed the Recovery and Resilience Office to submit the fourth payment request to the EC. This includes the fifth and sixth grant tranches, as well as the third loan tranche. The Government instructed the Recovery and Resilience Office to submit the request to the EC once the National Assembly has adopted the Act Amending the Labour Market Regulation Act, which is one of the milestones of the sixth grant tranche.
