Annual activities report on the work of the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia for 2024

2024 was a year of significant shifts, modernisation and challenges for the Geodetic Survey Administration. The focus of the tasks for 2024 was on providing reliable, up-to-date and high-quality spatial data and integrating it into modern information systems.

All this data is essential for effective spatial management, property valuation and support for development and administrative processes at national and local level.

The year 2024 also marks an important anniversary - 80 years of the Geodetic Survey in Slovenia. Since 1944, surveying has developed into one of the key disciplines for spatial management, infrastructure development and environmental protection. Although the Earth is not a perfect sphere, the precision of surveyors has for decades enabled us to better understand the space in which we live.

For decades, geodetic data has enabled us to understand and manage space - from planning roads, to building construction, to the demarcation of land parcels and natural resources. This is why space has a price, a value and a legal status. On the occasion of the anniversary, the Geodetic Survey highlighted the importance of location data in the digital age.

Despite the high complexity of the procedures and the large volumes of data, the principles of professionalism, transparency and security have been consistently applied in the performance of all tasks. Particular emphasis has been placed on the protection of personal data and compliance with all modern security standards.
