Labour Inspectorate Hosts Croatian Representatives to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
On May 26 2025, the Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia welcomed representatives from the State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Employment Service for a bilateral meeting held in a friendly atmosphere. The delegations exchanged views on current challenges in labor law and reinforced mutual cooperation.
During the meeting, representatives from both countries shared experiences, best practices, and addressed future challenges, particularly regarding employment and ensuring decent working conditions for workers from third countries. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening and upgrading the already successful collaboration and ensuring more effective compliance with labor regulations.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Labour Inspectorate, including Chief Labour Inspector Katja Čoh-Kragolnik, Director of the Employment Relationships Inspection Service Gojko Aničić, Head of Priority Response Division Nina Kurnik Avbelj, and Labor Inspectors Branka Čemas Stjepanovič, Blaž Podergajs, and Benja Ambruš. The Croatian delegation was represented by Assistant Chief State Inspector Gordana Grizelj Portner, Head of the Labour Sector Tomislav Markota, and Employment Service representatives Ivana Šimek and Ana Nikolić. Also participating in the meeting were Polona Grobelnik Jurjovič and Roberta Kurti Vuković as representatives of the European Labour Authority (ELA).
This meeting marks an important step towards further integration of inspection bodies from both countries and knowledge exchange, with the aim of more effectively addressing common challenges in labor law and strengthening positive relations.
