On the Chilean side, the consultations were headed by Ambassador Rodrigo Olsen Olivares, Secretary-General of the Chilean Foreign Ministry.

State Secretary Štiglic and Secretary-General Olsen welcomed the enhanced political dialogue between their respective countries in recent years, assessing relations between Slovenia and Chile as friendly and without outstanding issues. They expressed satisfaction with both countries' foreign policies committed to gender equality. Additionally, they noted a shared commitment to promoting and respecting human rights, particularly those of children, women, persons with disabilities and vulnerable groups. Their discussion also touched on relations between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean. They welcomed the strengthened trade relations between the two regions, especially following the signing of the EU-Chile Advanced Framework Agreement in December 2023. They addressed global and regional security concerns, notably focusing on the situation in the Middle East, Ukraine, the Western Balkans, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The consultations concluded with a meeting between Secretary-General Olsen and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Ambassador Renata Cvelbar Bek, to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation in the areas of business, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
