Vacancy Announcement - Embassy Driver

The Embassy of Slovenia in the Hague is looking for an experienced driver for a full time position of Embassy Driver/Caretaker.

Job description:

The principal duties of the successful applicant will include driving the Ambassador and other Embassy staff to their appointments, taking care of the Embassy car, taking care of the Embassy and Residence premises (basic maintenance), and other support tasks and duties.

Job requirements:

  • A valid driver's license (category B) with a clean record.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Good level of spoken Dutch.
  • Capacity to work flexible hours as and when needed, including occasional weekend work.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Professional driving experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience working for an Embassy would be an advantage.

Additional information:

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in The Netherlands.
  • The successful applicant will be asked to deliver a certificate of conduct (VOG); any job offer is also provisional to a successful security clearance check.
  • An employment contract will initially be concluded for a period of one year, with a one month probationary period.
  • The employment will be governed by Dutch employment laws.
