In his speech, he congratulated the winners, stressing that good people enrich our society: "When we do not only do our professional jobs but also help those in need, the elderly, the young, athletes and others, we give back to society what it has given us."

He also highlighted the importance of Radio 94 for the Primorsko-Notranjska region: "Radio 94, which for years accompanied me on my daily commute to Ljubljana, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. I am aware of its extremely important role both in informative and humanitarian work."

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to congratulate the Commander of the Regional Civil Protection Headquarters for the Notranjska region, Sandi Curko, who was awarded the European Citizen’s Prize 2023 for the aid project for Ukrainian orphans and refugees. Prime Minister Golob thanked him for his selfless help in the August flood relief efforts: "Among other things, he initiated the setting up of a website for the organisation of volunteers helping those affected by the flood."

The awards of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia were also presented at the event.
