At today's correspondence session, the Government agreed to the proposed amendments to the draft Social Assistance Act and to the proposed amendments to the draft Long Term Care Act.

The Government agrees to the proposed amendments to the draft Social Assistance Act

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia, at a correspondence session, agreed to the proposed amendments to the Draft Act Amending the Social Assistance Act – urgent procedure and sent them to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia.

Taking into account the opinion of the Legislative and Legal Service, new provisions are added to regulate the legal basis for the collection of personal data of scholarship holders, the records on the basis of which the personal data of scholarship holders are processed, in order to ensure constitutionally compliant processing in accordance with what is written. The proposal specifies the personal data that may be collected and processed, the purpose for which it may be used, the control over its collection, processing and use, the protection of the confidentiality of the personal data collected and the retention period.

The Government agrees to the proposed amendments to the draft Long Term Care Act

At a correspondence meeting, the Government approved the harmonised amendments to the Long Term Care Act, which address nomotechnical shortcomings. Among the substantive changes proposed by the harmonised amendments, we would like to highlight the simplification of the procedure for exercising the right to a family member carer and the supervision and support of the exercise of the rights to a cash benefit and to a family member carer.
