All programmes for the European Union Home Affairs Funds confirmed

The European Union has confirmed all three programmes for the European Union (EU) Home Affairs Funds for the 2021–2027 period. This will enable Slovenia to draw European funds in the fields of asylum, migration and integration, internal security and border management and visa instrument.

Along with national co-financing, Slovenia will have at its disposal EUR 55.4 million for the implementation of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund programme, EUR 34.1 million for the programme pertaining to the Internal Security Fund, and EUR 137.5 million for the Border Management and Visa Instrument programme.

The funding is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2023, while the first public calls are envisaged for the first half of 2023, until which time the Ministry will do the groundwork necessary to carry out the programmes.
