State Secretary Žbogar receives China’s Special Representative for Central and Eastern Europe–China Cooperation

State Secretary Samuel Žbogar received a courtesy visit from the Special Representative of the People’s Republic of China for Cooperation between Central and Eastern Europe Countries and China, Ambassador Jiang Yu.
In his talks with the Special Representative, State Secretary Žbogar recalled that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Slovenia and China and advocated the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.
They discussed the challenges and the future of the CEEC-China 14+1 Initiative, bilateral economic cooperation, and EU-China relations, as well as various global and security issues such as Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
