Organisation of a media centre for the 2022 election of the President of the Republic of Slovenia

The election of the President of the Republic of Slovenia took place on Sunday, 23 October. The Government Communication Office participated in organising the event.

The Government Communications Office organised at the Gospodarsko Razstavišče fairgrounds in Ljubljana a media centre for the State Election Commission (DVK) on the occasion of the election of the President of the Republic of Slovenia.

A total of 275 media representatives, including 22 foreign representatives, were accredited to follow the election in the media centre. A total of 114 journalists, 61 camera operators, 39 photographers, 49 technicians and 12 other media representatives were accredited.

The largest number of accredited domestic media personnel represented the public broadcaster Radiotelevizija Slovenija - 97, of which 42 were journalists. They were followed by the Pro Plus media house with 40 accredited representatives, including 10 journalists.

The accredited foreign media houses included the Austrian ORF, Al Jazeera Balkans, Associated Press HR, the Croatian HRT, the Italian press agency Ansa, RAI and ORF HR.

In the media centre, media representatives could follow the data from the DVK on the turnout in the election and voting results, as well as the programmes of Slovenian television stations.
