Initialled Agreement regulating measures relating to salaries and other labour costs in the public sector

Today, Sanja Ajanović Hovnik, head of the Government negotiating team and the Minister of Public Administration, and the heads of negotiating teams of representative public sector unions, Branimir Štrukelj and Jakob Počivavšek, initialled the agreement after several negotiating sessions.

It was agreed that the values ​​of salary grades of the salary scale would be harmonised by 4.5 per cent as of 1 October 2022 for public employees. There will be an increase by one salary grade in April 2023 for the majority of the public sector, except employees in healthcare and social care whose salaries have increased as per the agreement in November 2021, including a higher annual leave allowance for 2022 (EUR 1,374.43 net for up to salary grade 24, EUR 1,324.43 net for salary grades 25 to 30, EUR 1,274.43 net for salary grades 31 to 35, EUR 1,224.43 net for salary grades 36 to 40, and EUR 1,174.43 net for salary grades 41 to 50), and a higher meals allowance, which will amount to EUR 6.15 as of 1 September 2022.

According to Minister Ajanović Hovnik, the agreement is worth EUR 611 million.
