The European Commission and Slovenia sign a document on the operational arrangements for the implementation of the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Plan

Following the Council of the EU’s decision on the assessment of the Slovenian Recovery and Resilience Plan in July 2021 and the signing of the Financing agreement for the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility by the European Commission and the Republic of Slovenia, the European Commission has announced that it has also signed a document on the operational arrangements for the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility in Slovenia.

The signing of the operational arrangements for the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility between the European Commission and Slovenia sets out in more detail the modalities of cooperation and the timetable for the monitoring and implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), which is the basis for the implementation of the Facility in Slovenia. The purpose of the arrangements is to ensure the effective implementation of the Facility and to detect potential problems in the implementation at an early stage.

The operational arrangements include the timetable for the monitoring and implementation of the planned measures (reforms and investments). They define in more detail the indicators for achieving the milestones and targets. In this case, indicators are the evidence or documentation that will be verified by the European Commission when processing payment claims.

Slovenia has designated the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Recovery and Resilience, a body within the Ministry of Finance, to act as the interlocutor of the European Commission, responsible at the national level for coordinating and monitoring the effective implementation of the RRP.
