State Secretary Raščan at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum

State Secretary Stanislav Raščan attended the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey, which this year was dedicated to the possibilities of transforming and adapting diplomacy to new global and security challenges.

During the “Women Empower Humanity” round table, State Secretary Raščan underlined Slovenia’s commitment to achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment. He stressed the need for active and equal participation of women in the pursuit of peace and the importance of the “Women, Peace and Security” agenda. Slovenia also complements its political commitments by including a gender perspective and women’s empowerment in the implementation of development and humanitarian projects in partner countries.

On the margins of the Forum, State Secretary Raščan held bilateral talks with Tajikistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmurod, Deputy Foreign Minister of Singapore Ann, and Foreign Minister of Central African Republic Baïpo-Temon, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kazalbaev, and Foreign Minister of Equatorial Guinea, Esono Angue, High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Schmidt and Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on the Conflict Dealt with by the OSCE Minsk Conference, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
