State Secretary Raščan welcomed Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia

State Secretary Stanislav Raščan welcomed Natalia Markevych Pritsa, Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia. He expressed Slovenia’s solidarity with Ukraine.

He stressed that Slovenia and its top officials unequivocally condemned the aggression of the Russian Federation towards Ukraine. He informed his guest of the measures Slovenia has already planned and the adoption of restrictive measures at the European Union level against the Russian Federation.

State Secretary Raščan assured Deputy Ambassador Markevych Pritsa of further support from Slovenia, saying that in addition to the material assistance already sent to Ukraine, Slovenia will also give full sympathetic consideration to the request for further assistance in the form of medical aid. He also reiterated Slovenia’s willingness to receive refugees from Ukraine.

Deputy Ambassador Markevych Pritsa expressed her gratitude to Slovenia and the national leaders for all the supportive responses and for the material assistance already provided. She also asked for Slovenia’s backing for harsh economic sanctions at the EU level.
