State Secretary Kirbiš Rojs meets with representatives of Slovenian Business Club

State Secretary mag. Monika Kirbiš Rojs today met with the representatives of Slovenian Business Club (SBC) to discuss EU funding opportunities, especially the calls targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

State Secretary was welcomed to the SBC premises by SBC President Joc Pečečnik and Executive Director Sonja Šmuc, Jerneja Lampret and CEO of Tiko pro d.o.o. and member of the SBC Board of Directors Kristina Kočet Hudrap.

During the discussion, State Secretary stressed that the most important sources of EU funding in the coming six years would be the current financial perspective 2014-2020 and the new programming period 2021-2027 as well as the React-EU initiative and the national Recovery and Resilience Plan.

She highlighted the many important relevant measures foreseen under the future Cohesion Policy and drew attention to the funding opportunities in the framework of the coming calls for proposals. The discussion also focused on the importance of digitalisation in business, the coming calls for proposals and the much needed simplifications of the application procedures as well as the need to carry out the measures for cutting red tape in procedures linked to calls for proposals.
