ProWine fair in Shanghai starts – Slovenian winemakers attract attention again this year

The ProWine 2021 international fair has opened its doors in Shanghai. Fourteen Slovenian winemakers are featured at the fair under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food and in cooperation with Chinese representatives. The fair, which will run for three days, is one of the most important business fairs in the field of winemaking in the Asian market.

The fair is intended for the expert public in the field of winemaking - it is attended by wine experts, restaurant owners, journalists, existing and potential distributors and customers.

The Slovenian pavilion at the ProWine 2021 fair in Shanghai is organised by cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, the Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Shanghai and Chinese distributors. The following Slovenian winemakers are featured at the fair: Klet Goriška Brda, Edi Simčič, Marjan Simčič, Ščurek, Ferdinand, Kristančič, Erzetič, Santomas, Vinakoper, Vinska Klet Ptuj, Radgonske Gorice, Panvita Marof and Steyer.

Slovenian winemakers will also present themselves at the fair with a professional "masterclass" tasting, which will be organised and carried out by the Chinese representative of Slovenian winemakers. Slovenian winemakers are featured at the ProWine fair for the third year in a row, which increases their visibility as well as the recognisability of Slovenia in China, where Slovenian wines are increasingly valued and recognised for their high quality.
