Jernej Müller, Director-General for Common Foreign and Security Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended this year’s meeting of the informal Global Governance Group (3G) that is taking place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

The participants underlined the significance of green and sustainable recovery, concerted action on climate change, rapid digitalisation, maintenance of global supply chains, and progress in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. They committed to further strengthening the role of multilateralism and global governance.

3G is an informal group comprising thirty smaller and medium-sized countries that was established at the initiative of Singapore to ensure the interests of small countries are taken into account in determining the G20 agenda on issues relating to global governance and their impacts on these countries.
