The ministers reviewed co-operation between the two countries, agreeing that the two countries work together effectively in bilateral and multilateral areas, sharing similar views on human rights, the rule of law, gender equality and effective multilateralism. International law and the International Criminal Court are particular priorities for both countries.

Slovenia-Lichtenstein cooperation is also positive in the Alpine area and in the context of the European Economic Area. On 18 June 2021, a quadrilateral meeting will be held in Liechtenstein, attended by deputy foreign ministers of Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland, and Slovenia. Liechtenstein also hosted the first such meeting in 2011.

Ministers Logar and Hasler also discussed the opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, with Slovenia identifying potential in the field of renewable energy sources, circular economy, and the information technology sector.

Minister Logar briefed his counterpart on the priorities of the second Slovenian EU Council Presidency, beginning on 1 July 2021. They also touched on the COVID-19 pandemic and discussed measures to tackle the health crisis.
