EU funding for Slovenj Gradec Business Zone expansion

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved EU funding for the project Pameče 3 Business Zone expansion. The project worth EUR 2.3 million will be implemented by the Urban Municipality Slovenj Gradec under the Agreement on the development of the Koroška region and will receive nearly EUR 1.3 million of European Regional Development Fund support.

As part of the project, Urban Municipality Slovenj Gradec will expand the Pameče 3 Business Zone by constructing roads in the length of 844 metres, sewerage in the length of 1154, rainwater sewage system in the length of 1166 metres, road drainage in the length of 806 metres and a sewerage pressure line in the length of 645 metres. As part of the project, 1,595 metres of gas pipeline, 1,571 metres of water supply, 2,265 metres of cable TV network, 2,535 metres of telecommunications networks and 836 metres of low-voltage power lines will also be built in Pameče. The project will also result in the construction of a roundabout of an outside diameter of 40 metres and an island in the middle. The roundabout will also be equipped with a bicycle lane.

It is planned that the project will be completed at the close of 2022.  

The expansion of economic and business infrastructure is of regional importance as the project will promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises by establishing appropriate infrastructural conditions for doing business in the business zone.
