At the 46th Session of ITF Board of Advisors, Minister Logar recalled ITF’s achievements in the 23 years since its establishment, particularly in humanitarian matters, with the wide support of donor countries that fund ITF's projects attesting to it. Its activities provide a strong foundation for Slovenia’s humanitarian action, as over the last decade, the country has contributed almost EUR 8 million for over 50 activities, including the support for ITF. This year, Slovenia has started financing nine humanitarian projects worth EUR 1.2 million.

The Minister announced that ITF’s activities will feature among humanitarian priorities of Slovenia’s upcoming EU Council Presidency, namely the rehabilitation and assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons. He congratulated ITF on the certificate obtained last year that allows the organisation to apply successfully for EU funding, and expressed his firm belief that its “success story” will continue to go from strength to strength in the future.
