EU funding for a better social inclusion of vulnerable groups through cultural and creative industries

  • Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy
Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a funding decision for the Call for proposals for ESF-supported operations promoting social inclusion of vulnerable groups through cultural and creative industries in the period 2021-2023. The call for proposals will make a total of EUR 1.3 million available, of which over EUR 1 million will come from the European Social Fund.

The goal of the call for proposals is to encourage, mobilize and motivate members of vulnerable groups and promote proactive participation of these individuals in social life to improve their social inclusion and enhance job prospects. The call aims to build cultural competences in NGOs working with individuals from vulnerable groups, more specifically, members of ethnic minorities and the disabled

Cultural and creative sector projects aiming to increase job opportunities for members of target groups, supporting capacity building, building of cultural creativity, confidence building and improving social inclusion of members of vulnerable groups by making them feel part of a broader community will be supported under the call for proposals. At least 470 members from vulnerable groups are expected to participate in the supported projects whose goal is to bring these individuals closer to the labour market.

The Ministry of Culture is to publish the call for proposals on 23 April 2021.
