United Arab Emirates send donation to Slovenia to combat COVID-19

Today, a special Etihad Airways aircraft from the United Arab Emirates landed in Slovenia, carrying seven tons of protective equipment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Stanislav Raščan, and Deputy Director-General of the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, Stanislav Lotrič, thanked the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Al Musharrakh, for the generous donation.

In his talks with Ambassador Al Musharrakh, State Secretary Raščan pointed to the positive bilateral cooperation between the two countries, stressing the importance of solidarity in the joint fight against the new coronavirus. Ambassador Al Musharrakh expressed the UAE’s interest in strengthening bilateral relations in all areas, highlighting that the donation of protective equipment reflected the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to the collective fight against the pandemic.  

The United Arab Emirates has also donated emergency aid to combat COVID-19 to several other countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
