Prime Minister Janez Janša receives the representatives of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce

  • Former Prime Minister Janez Janša (2020 - 2022)
Prime Minister Janez Janša today met with the representatives of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. The discussion focused on the Covid-19 epidemic in the context of trade and the possibilities of easing measures imposed on trade activities. They agreed that restrictions imposed on trade activities can only be relaxed, if the number of Covid-19 cases decreases. For this to happen, all citizens must act responsibly and respect measures for the prevention and containment of the Covid-19 epidemic.

They also shared the view that subject to responsible behaviour and compliance with the measures for the prevention and containment of the Covid-19 epidemic, trade activities could resume first in those regions which are most successful in the fight against the epidemic.

At the meeting, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce was represented by its President, Ms Mariča Lah, Director of the company Magistrat International, Helena Drašković, and the President of the Management Board of BTC, Jože Mermal. Present at the meeting were also the head of the advisory group at the Ministry of Health, Dr Bojana Beović, the Minister of Health, Tomaž Gantar, and the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek.
