Nearly EUR 2 million of EU funding to support vulnerable groups

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a financial support decision for the “Call for proposals for co-financing projects to support vulnerable groups most affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and to reduce its impacts”. The call for proposals worth EUR 1,925,000 will be implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and will be fully supported by the European Social Fund.

The call for proposals will support projects providing innovative approaches to addressing and mitigating the social distress that vulnerable groups are facing due to the COVID-19 epidemic. With the aim of helping vulnerable groups, namely victims of violence, older population, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems, children, minors and others facing great social exclusion, the call for proposals will co-finance projects addressing the needs that have emerged due to the COVID-19 epidemic in the field of psychosocial counselling, awareness-raising, informing, field work, providing concrete user support, establishing new safe points, digital solutions addressing distress and providing emergency accommodation for target groups.
