Minister Cerar informs Italian counterpart Di Maio of Slovenia’s measures

During today's phone conversation with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dr Miro Cerar expressed solidarity with measures to prevent spreading of the Covid-19 virus and presented his condolences over the numerous fatalities caused by the virus in the neighbouring country.

Minister Cerar informed his Italian counterpart of all measures taken by Slovenia to contain the spread of the virus. The ministers agreed on the importance of cross-border cooperation in these times of distress.
They pleaded for close cooperation between the two countries, both at the level of the competent ministries and of medical practitioners and police forces, as well as for rapid exchange of information and good practices to contain the spread.
