"Business-to-Diplomacy" at Renault-Revoz d.d., Novo Mesto

Today, a business event was held as part of the series of events for “Business-to-Diplomacy” (B2D) organised by the Directorate for Economic and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the French Embassy and Renault-Revoz at the seat of Renault-Revoz d.d., Novo Mesto.

At the invitation of Mr Dobran Božič, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Kaan Ozkan, CEO of Groupe Renault-Revoz d.d., the event was attended by more than 45 foreign diplomats – ambassadors, economic advisers and by 30 foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Slovenia.

The event focused on e-mobility and featured a presentation of Groupe Renault-Revoz, Slovenia's biggest exporter and the biggest foreign investment in the automotive industry in Slovenia.

The guests were welcomed by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Dobran Božič, the French Ambassador to Slovenia, Mrs Florence Ferrari, and the CEO of Groupe Renault-Revoz d.d., Mr Kaan Ozkan, as the main host of the event. The introductory addresses were followed by a presentation of Groupe Renault-Revoz, with special emphasis on new technologies and digitisation. E-mobility challenges were outlined by Mr Francois Delion, Managing Director of Renault Nissan Adriatic.

The presentation devoted particular attention to the Renault Clio, which is assembled at the Novo Mesto plant and was declared to be the Slovenian Car of the Year 2020.

The concluding part of the visit focused on networking and informal discussions.
