MFA on attack on U.S. Embassy in Baghdad

Slovenia joins the European Union in condemning attacks on coalition forces fighting Da’esh in Iraq and shares the EU’s position on the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns this acts and calls on Iraqi authorities to guarantee the security of diplomatic missions in the country.
The Ministry expresses condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments of the United States and Iraq.
State Secretary Dobran Božič today discussed the situation with the U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia, Lynda Blanchard.
