In his address he highlighted that Slovenia focuses particular attention on digitalisation. "We want to make things as easy as possible for citizens and to provide them with fast and good services," said he and continued, "We are making great effort to be ready for the transformation of society brought about by digitalisation. We are grateful for the opportunity to cooperate with such a distinguished international organisation as the OECD."

The OECD has never made a Digital Government Review for Slovenia.

Mr Behin considers that such a comprehensive review of digital government implementation with the recommendations of renowned experts will be very useful for Slovenia, as it will provide an objective review of its capabilities for functioning in a world that is becoming increasingly digitalised. According to Mr Behin, citizens have high expectations and state administration must maximise the use of the potentials of modern technology.

On the basis of the study, the Ministry will draft an action plan for improvements. The aim is to use the potentials of modern technology to improve the well-being of people and competitiveness of the economy.
