At the end of the meeting, the authorised representatives signed a resolution paving the road to solving the complex issue of distributing immovable property of the former common state around the world. For the first time since 2012, the successor states managed to reach an agreement on the distribution of several immovable properties in accordance with remaining quotas per region pertaining to individual successor states.

Slovenia thus gained the former SFRY Embassy premises in Georgetown, Guyana, as an additional property. Slovenia will also receive some art works from other former SFRY premises.

The Ministry assesses that the meeting was constructive and successful, and that the successor states took a further step towards the final implementation of Annex B to the Agreement on Succession Issues.
