For Turkish citizens

Visa requirement for entering Slovenia

Turkish citizens need a visa to enter Slovenia.

Holders of diplomatic, service or special passports do not need a short-stay visa to enter Slovenia*.

For full details of the procedure for obtaining a short-stay visa, please contact the relevant Slovenian diplomatic mission or consular post or that of the EU Member State representing Slovenia in that country**.

For full details of the procedure for obtaining a long-stay visa, please contact the competent Slovenian diplomatic mission or consular post.

* For detailed information on exceptions for holders of certain types of passports, see the European Commission document.

** The table shows the presence of diplomatic missions and consular posts authorised for visa processing in third countries. For Slovenia, the column marked "SI" is checked. If an X is indicated in this column for a third country, it means that a Slovenian diplomatic mission or consular post is present in that country and ensures the processing of visa applications.

If this column contains a code of another Schengen country instead of X, Slovenia does not have a diplomatic mission or consular post in that country and the application for a short-stay visa must be lodged with the representation of that country. For more detailed information on how and under what conditions to apply for a visa, please visit the website of the relevant representation.

If there is no entry in the column marked “SI”, then there is no Slovenian diplomatic mission or consular post in the third country, and no representation arrangements are in place, so the application for a short-stay visa must be lodged with the nearest Slovenian representation.
