minister Rudi Medved

born 28 December 1959
holds a bachelor's degree in journalism

From 1992 to 2005 he worked as an editor on the daily news and politics desks at Radio Slovenia and as an editor on national political and economics programmes on TV Slovenia. From 2005 to 2006 he was editor-in-chief at Radio Kum Trbovlje and from 2007 to 2008 editor of daily news show "24 ur" on POP TV. In 2004 he became the director of the Delavski Dom Zagorje cultural centre. In 2012 he became director of the municipal administration in Zagorje ob Savi. He has passed the professional examination on the General Administrative Procedure Act. He has twice been elected to the municipal council in Zagorje ob Savi. He writes scripts for events, song lyrics and poetry.

He was elected to the National Assembly in the 2018 general election. He has headed the parliamentary infrastructure, environment and spatial planning committee and served on the internal affairs, public administration and local self-government committee, the defence committee and the rules of procedure committee.
