The Slovenian National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity (NCC-SI) acts as the national contact point of the Republic of Slovenia for supporting research, innovation and capacity building in the field of cybersecurity. Its activities are focused on strengthening the national cybersecurity ecosystem, connecting key stakeholders and supporting the development of knowledge, technologies and human resources.

The centre was established on the basis of European legislation (Regulation (EU) 2021/887) and participates in the European network of National Coordination Centres and cooperates with the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and Network (ECCC).

Within the centre, we carry out development, preventive and support activities in the field of information and cybersecurity. We prepare expert opinions, guidelines, recommendations and good practices to enhance information and cyber resilience, and we monitor trends and risks in this area. An important part of our work consists of cybersecurity awareness-raising activities, including the organisation of trainings, exercises, educational programmes and other awareness-raising events.

At NCC-SI, we promote cooperation between industry, academia and the public sector, and support the development of research, development and innovation projects in the field of cybersecurity. As part of our tasks, we also implement cascade funding and other forms of financial support, and assist innovative companies and start-ups developing cybersecurity solutions.

We actively participate in the preparation of strategic documents, work programmes and reports of the office, as well as in national and international projects. In addition, we promote cybersecurity careers and the development of human resources in the field, and encourage the use of standards, frameworks and good practices to strengthen cyber resilience in Slovenia.
