The Information Management and Technology Service is responsible for the operation of information systems that support the Agency's business processes. It ensures the easy availability of systems and the fulfilment of security requirements, keeps an audit trail, and is responsible for the building and upgrading of information systems in accordance with the selected methodology. The Agency’s business processes are IT-supported and are based on EU accreditation criteria. The fulfilment of accreditation criteria is a precondition for drawing on European funds.

Information systems to support agricultural policy measures are more complex, as graphic and attribute data are used in the implementation of processes. This means that part of a process is related to the processing and verification of graphic data and that the output is in the form of alphanumeric data (decisions and payment orders).
