On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Ambassador Iztok Mirošič, together with Prime Minister Dr. Robert Golob, made a working visit to the White House at the invitation of the President of the United States, Joseph Biden.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Robert Golob, today paid a working visit to the United States at the invitation of the President of the United States, Joe Biden. This is the first working visit of a Slovenian Prime Minister to the President of the United States at the White House in 18 years.

On Thursday, 26 September, Prime Minister Golob met with the Wall Street Journal management and its journalist Evan Gershkovich at the Wall Street Journal headquarters as part of the historic swap between the West and Russia, in which Slovenia played an important role.

Ambassador Iztok Mirošič hosted a reception in honor of the Slovenian delegation attending the 2024 NATO Summit in Washington D.C. marking 75 years of the Alliance and 20th anniversary of Slovenia's membership in NATO for Slovenian community in the USA and representatives from business and science sectors. Prime Minister Robert Golob today received Admiral Stuart Munsch, the commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa, and of the new Allied Joint Force Command in Naples. They discussed the situation in the Western Balkans and the importance of NATO's KFOR mission for the stability of Kosovo and the wider region.

Ambassador Iztok Mirošič participated in the inaugural Western Balkan Salon Roundtable, a collaborative event series hosted by the Atlantic Council and the embassies of the Western Balkan nations in Washington on March 28, 2024.
